Subject: Season 11 PreSeason Plans

We need to start getting prepared for Season 11.

Season 10 ends with Wrestlemania this Sunday. We may be able to move quickly and get Season 11 started the following Monday (April 7). To do so we all need to be prepared.

Everyone needs to check in and confirm they are interested in managing again next season.

We should be prepared to start our draft by Wednesday evening. This allows everyone to see Raw , ECW, and Smackdown spoilers and still turn in their keepers. If we start Wednesday night we can be finished by Raw on the 7th, if not well before.


So...

1. Are you managing in Season 11?
2. Are you ok in aiming for April 7th to be the first show of Season 11?
3. Can you get your keepers in by Wednesday morning?
4. Are you available to draft from April 2-7?

1. Elimination Chamber specific scoring
2. Points for participating in title match
3. Valet points = 5 for PPV
4. Clarify what constitutes a "match" (perhaps Species can write this up and we can all just confirm its detailed enough)

1. Match rules are defined - i.e. how is a winner declared
2. An opening bell indicating the start of the match
3. An ending bell and winner declared

Re: #1 - for the most part this is understood, but in the case of some of these other matches - arm wrestling, boxing, whatever, it needs to be defined. In the absence of definition of a winner, it's a promo.

His keepers can have a material effect on a draft position! So I'd certainly prefer not to choose them for him. Plus, if he isn't ready to post keepers, he isn't ready to draft, so what's the point?

If Farn would be so kind as to create the appropriate draft grid based upon the above, I would appreciate it. Mike D nearly slid into 4th draft position, but Zyre's keeper curve ball cost him a point in keeper ranking, thus tying him with Tree. In the case of ties, the franchise with the lower finish in the previous season gets the advantage.

And not one email to me inquiring about a trade :( lol I guess it would help if I had anything to trade!

BTW, I went to the Kings vs. Clippers game last night, and the Kings had "Olympic Heroes Night", where they honored 3 former Olympians before the game.

BUT THEN.......the trumpets sounded

.......and a version of the Kurt Angle theme song blared through Arco Arena, and Mr. Angle himself came out, mic in hand! (I had actually noticed him previewed in the pamphlet for the night, so it was no surprise, but STILL) Sadly there must not have been enough wrestling fans in the arena to get a good "YOU SUCK" chant during the appropriate notes of the song, but I tried!!

Just preceding Angle's entrance, the Kings had done some stupid people-from-the-crowd contest where you dressed up in one of those dumb sumo suits, and "Slamson", the Kings lion mascot, and steamrolled one sumo person to the ground, and drop-kicked another. They couldn't get up so the PA guy said the contest was over, unless some brave soul could take on "Slamson".

So Angle's music hits, and he proceeds to work the crowd, asking if they want to see him kick Slamson's butt, which received a mild cheer from the 60% of capacity crowd (lol). He's in a suit, and of course he's wearing the Olympic Medal. He takes his coat and medal off, and he tells Slamson they'll do a "test of strength". Slamson gets off to an early lead, but Angle eventually reverses it and gets the upper hand, before breaking the hold and giving the mascot a kick to the nads! lmfao

He holds his arms up in triumph to cheers from the crowd.

At a time out, the PA guy gets him on camera/mic and presents him with a Kings jersey with "Angle" on the back, and noted that he had a courtside seat available. Angle grabs the mic, stands up, and says he'll give the seat to his biggest fan. MIND YOU, the game is about to resume! Angle, undaunted, taunts the crowd a bit and picks a kid from the crowd who gets to sit next to him the rest of the game. Our seats were about 8 rows back so I got to see him interact with people during the game.

They ushered a few VIP's near him during the game, but eventually he ended up having a soldier in uniform next to him, and of course he was genuinely nice to this dude, taking pics, shaking hands, smiling, etc.

It was cool.

The most dismantled team, Team Great One, is looking at a very few points from Victoria, Mudoch and Delaney... not much else going on there just like in Honkey Tonk Man's brain. This team is just coasting until he can replenish the roster with four, count them FOUR, numbbeerrr 1 draft picks. YEAH! Hoooweeeever, for the time being we will be referring to this manager as the Mediocre One! You dig it??!

Nooow we look at Team Goat Locker. Another bottom feeder just like Miss Elizabeth until I brought her up in status. Fat Daddy will come back and give him some points but he's looking like trade bait. YEAH! The Gooooat man has a little investment in the future but nothing like The Mediocre One has.

Also hanging around the cellar is Team Ruuude. YEAH! Another solid core of scorers but no main eventer to propel him to the top 3. This business is about being at the top. You feel me?? I know you do! YEAH!

Two teams that are really finally making a statemeeeeent in the RWF ... Team Zyre and Team Bobo. These teams are just now starting to take shape and are finally here to be reckoned with. Ya dig? Zyre has some high quality scorers in Matt Hardy, MVP and the Goooold Standard Shelton Benjamin. That kid reminds me a little bit of me but he just doesn't have the looks. YEAH! Watch out for this team if Jeff Hardy comes back anytime soon. Bobo is going to outscore 3 teams alone just because he has the punk. That's CM Punk. Is he still in building mode and will just be looking for offers for his #1 scorer? I don't know, but can you pull a rainbow from the sky and twist it around the trees? No I don't think so. YEAH!

Peeeeennnding trades, you are gonna see 5 good teams this year unless someone chickens out and starts trading away talent. Guarrraaaantee you someone will turn yellow! YEAH! Like that Hulk hoooogan. YELLOW! Anyway, I really like this Tree team. He's a contender this year and he wasn't one of the managers that sold the farm. There's a lot of brightness in this kid's future... and I'm not talking about headlights on the free way. YOU DIG IT?? Lots of points from HBK, Kane and Mark Henry if he gets used in the next 6 months as he should. Festus and Jesse could be a nice surpise for Team Tree if the WWE keeps shoving him down our throats like they have been. YEAH!

Regardless, it's going to be tough for Treeeee to take on the likes of Team Wiggs and Mike D. Mike D is another come back team adding John Morrison, The Miz, Y2J, Khali and the tag champs Rhodes/Holly. He's looking at a lot of points, the question will beeee can Mike DDDD handle it. YEAH! I don't think he can, he's gonna be turning yellow like the Hulkster and trade away a few of these guys! OOOOH YEAH!

Team Wiggs is looking a title opportunity but I'm gonna call it right now, he's going to have two back to back bronze medals. Ya feel me???!
Lots of points from Taker, Cena and Kennedy... but I don't think he will do as well with Kofi, Wang Yang and Shawna Moore. YEAH!

Here you go, the top two teams battling it out for the 2nd year in a row... Their last hooooraaaah until they see their stock is at 0.00. YEAH! Team Species Vs Team Farn. Farn will have 2 of the top 3 scorers in HHH and Edge but I don't think he's going to get the points he expects out of JBL and Carlito. As a matter of fact I could see them being benched at somepoint. YEAH! Don't worry this guy is going to make a move to finally bring the gold home, he has too! Can ya dig it!?

Right now i'm giving Team Species his 4th title with a solid core of scoring from Batista, Orton and Umaga. Finlay will be a middle of the road kinda guy like the two lines they paint on the asphalt. YEAH! However, I think he might get some unexpected points from Mr. Dreammmmerrr. Mr ECW!
