A Henry County man claims he found a stash of steroids hidden in the attic of a Locust Grove house where a professional wrestler once lived.

Paperwork in the boxes could link them to wrestler Mike Knox, according to police.

Inside they saw different bottles and vials of liquid. Several were marked as steroids and another had a plain, black label. There were also dozens of syringes.

Good to see I'll open the season with a 30 point HHH win and 2 guys in the main event, which will set up the Backlash ME that I will have those same 2 guys in.

Maybe...just maybe, I will finally turn all my good years into a great year.

I'll lay out the sentence... WWE can finish it soon enough.

WWE has come to terms on the release of ______ as of today. We wish ________ the best in all future endeavors.

"Rude has come to terms on the release of __________ as well. Rude wishes he had never drafted him."

Its his own fault, its a standard question in all pre-draft interviews. Rude has nobody to blame but himself.

Thats why I took Colin Delaney and Trevor Murdoch... no steroid questions there! Now Victoria maybe.

I was gonna make a joke and drop somebody really good like Morrison for "The Ox" - knowing that Species would only trump me anyway.
Then I realized I don't have anybody good enough to make that a funny joke!

However... I do believe I won't be in last place this week. Colin, Regal and Murdoch are a force to be reckoned with!!!!

Hornswoggle too!

If someone likes LaRouche and wants to combine him with Dreamer or McCool for a more consistent mid-carder, I would listen :)

- At last night's Raw brand house show in Trenton, New Jersey, Ron Killings apparently hurt his shoulder working a match with Charlie Haas. The referee put up the X symbol and a stretcher was brought out for him. Killings managed to walk back on his own though.

Back surgeons of SmackDown Diva Torrie Wilson are telling her to never set foot in a wrestling ring again unless she wants to be healthy in later years. She wrote on her MySpace page in a blog posted earlier today: "I have been told by 2 back surgeons that I should never set foot in a wrestling ring again if I want to be moving around in a few years on my own. Pretty depressing if you ask me." She also added, "My health is doing ok as far as back problems. I must say there are days that I wake up and ask myself why the heck I put my body through what I did the last few years but it's all worth it. I can never trade all of the awesome experiences that I have had in the WWE and of course all of the great life long friends that I have made along the way."

KOTR participants may have been revealed on WWE.com

Pictured are (with RWF owner):

Chris Jericho (Mike D)
Umaga (Species)
Shawn Michaels (Tree)
CM Punk (Bobo)
Batista (Species)
Big Show (Farn)
Triple H (Farn)
MVP (Zyre)

Finlay (Species) and Kennedy (wiggs) are mentioned in the article so those 8 may not be final. But 2 guys are guaranteed 3 matches next week which could mean huge points for some owner.

Handicapping the race....

Without too much analysis, I think we can assume Umaga and Big Show have zero chance to win. Umaga is the big guy who is used to put people and never looks weak. He doesn't need the KOTR to look strong. Big Show fits the same mold. He's already loved by fans and doesn't need KOTR.

HBK is probably not likely to win it either. He is winding down his career, is already a main eventer, and doesn't need the push. Plus he is in a huge angle with Batista. The same can be said for Batista (excluding the winding down of his career). I'd say those 2 aren't likely either.

Punk probably doesn't need the win either. He's got the MITB and winning KOTR doesn't really enhance that. He'd be a good choice had he not won the MITB but now its probably not needed.

This leaves us with 3 choices: Y2J, HHH, or MVP. You could make a legitimate case for all 3. Y2J is making a move towards the top and outside of a small skirmish with HBK he isn't really in a program. But he also doesn't need the KOTR title to get over. Its easy to make a case for HHH. He gets whatever he wants, he is the son of the owner, and hasn't won a title in a long time. But he doesn't need the KOTR either. So....

I'll pick MVP to win the belt. He's a good young guy who could be one more small push away from the main event. He's charismatic and would make for a great top of the card heel to take pressure off Orton.

KingVP! would get him over with the RAW fans too. Although... you gotta think Hardy would try and screw him again and would have multiple chances to do so.

I honestly could see Umaga winning it... carry around the crown, grunting. It would be funny. Then send him over to Smackdown for some fresh fueds.

Giving the crown to Umaga would be dopey. The fans would be bored out of their skull. We need somebody who can play it up as a funny angle. MVP may be a bit too pompous but outside of that maybe Y2J? I have HHH and getting 3 matches would help but I hope its not him.

Make it a HHH vs. MVP final and give MVP the huge bump in status.

See i actually think Umaga could be really funny with it. He's very good with the details of his character, like Rude pointed out a few weeks ago in his tag team match - he showed lack of understanding how to tag in or grabbing the tag rope or knowing where to stand etc.

Agreed on MVP... he could then challenge kings from all over the world like when he challenged all the ridiculous champions just over a year ago.

Not sure if this rule question had ever been discussed. I know that if someone normally puts in
a waiver claim it takes 24 hours to clear. If someone put in a claim say 30 hours before a roster
deadline due to injury, suspension, etc and someone with a better waiver priority decided to block the claim say 10 hours into it the original claiment would be screwed because if they put in another claim it would not clear until the roster deadline had passed.

If that is true I propose that since one is limited to a single waiver claim a week that once they put it in their "waiver claim clock" would start and if they were blocked and forced to make another claim that the claim (2nd attempt) clear waivers 24 hours after their "clock" started. They could still be blocked again but if they were then forced to put in a 3rd claim it would still be based on when they made the original claim with regards to when their waiver is official.

Let me know how that sounds or if it is something that has been previously discussed, thanks!

Well, if the results end up on WWE.com does it count? If they end up on a news site does that count?

I assume both guys get Championship match points? Match started and HHH retained so I would think both get those points.

Mike Adamle
April 28, 2008

I’m going to go on a bit of a rant this week, as I’m finding it hard to bite my tongue. As most of you should know by now Joey Styles is no longer announcing ECW television. Joey has been moved to the Website division and has been replaced at the desk by Mike Adamle. I’m both a friend and fan of Joey’s, but his moving away from the desk isn’t what I’m going to rant about. Joey is a great guy, and above all else a professional, so he will succeed no matter where he goes. What I want to rant about is moving Mike Adamle to the desk and having him call ECW action.

I missed Mike’s debut at the desk but caught the highlights, or rather lowlights, on YouTube in an amaze compilation video. This week I made a point of watching ECW to witness his announcing first hand, and after those two experiences I can’t for the life of me figure out why this man has a job. I will grant you that announcing wrestling is a very difficult job, and if Mike Adamle just sucked I’d be okay with that. I’ve done play by play before and believe me I sucked too. My problem with Mike Adamle is that in addition to sucking he is completely unprepared for, and incompetent at, the job he is being paid for.

Adamle is obviously not a wrestling fan, has no knowledge of our sport, and is completely unfamiliar with the WWE product. This is completely inexcusable! Even if he had never watched a wrestling match in his entire life, the day he accepted the job with WWE it became his job to familiarize himself with the product and prepare for the job he was being paid for. Mike has been working for WWE since the beginning of the year and after his debut interview with Jeff “HARVEY”, he should have been watching 4-6 hours of WWE television per day to ensure mistakes like this never happened again.

In his debut on ECW television he screwed up the names of wrestlers and their moves, and even after a degree of post editing was still absolutely atrocious. This past week on ECW he said practically nothing at all. There were unbelievably long stretches of absolutely silence when I guess either Tazz needed a breather from trying to carry the entire show, or they just tuned Adamle out in post editing, to avoid even more mistakes. The only comment I remember hearing Adamle make this past week was when he informed us that Tommy Dreamer “TAPPED OFF” in his tag match, when he in fact “TAGGED OUT”.

How many tag matches do you have to watch before you figure out that it’s called a “tag”? I’m guessing unless you are Eugene’s dumber brother 1, which leaves me thinking Adamle didn’t watch a single tag match before sitting down at the desk to call this one. I guess we should be grateful, it could have been much worse. He could have said that Dreamer “Tapped Out” rather than “Tapped Off”, or maybe if it was Out Back Jack tagging out he would have called it “Jacking Off”.

I just don’t understand how someone can care so little about their job performance, and show up so unprepared. Mike Adamle has been employed by WWE for 4 month and is still struggling with the most basic wrestling terms not to mention the names of the guys on the show. This should be completely unacceptable. There has to be a better choice out there somewhere. Hell, even Helen Keller would be better; at least a blind deaf mute wouldn’t say anything stupid. Mike Adamle needs to be replaced and he needs to be replaced NOW. If he really wants this job make him go home and study wrestling and pass a wrestling quiz before allowing him back, or sending him another pay cheque.

There is a saying I am a big believer in. “If you fail to prepare, you are prepared to fail” and thus far Mike Adamle is an EPIC FAIL!

I can't wrap my head around the waiver wire claim thing... it certainly makes sense and it would suck to be screwed by the timing of things. But I can't figure out a solution. We came up with the one time processing before the RWF Super Bowl to avoid that at the very end. I think it worked pretty well. But we certainly can't do that routine each and every week.

Retroactive 24 hour waiver windows could still be exploited leaving you with a really short windown if timed properly, and thats what is tricky.

We may as well start discussing this in advance of any problem....

With Vickie stripping the title from Undertaker I'd say there is a distinct possibility she may try to award the title to Edge without a match. If she does this how do we score it? Does he get 50 for a title win but no real match points? Is that technically a win?

I guess we could wait but it may be smart to be prepared.

BTW, I'm not advocating either spot.

It would certainly be a messy situation if Edge is given the title, he gets no points, and then at Judgment Day Taker wins the belt again for another 100pt night.

in fact, there's actually precedence in this situation, or at least something reasonably close.

When Andre The Giant beat Hulk Hogan to end his 4+ year reign as World Champion, he immediately "sold" the belt to Ted Dibiase.

Jack Tunney "stripped" Dibiase of the belt, saying the WWF Championship cannot be "bought or sold", and to this day, Dibiase is not recognized as a former WWF/E World Champion.

That's a good precedent but the problem is we never scored it. Not to mention the "Jack Tunney" of this show is his fiance who won't strip him.

If Edge is given the belt and then defends it successfully against Taker before moving on wouldn't he be the champ?

Wasn't HHH awarded the World Heavyweight belt by Bischoff? I can't recall if that was within RWF history......but I agree that being awarded the belt, even on TV, is not a match, is not a victory, and does not garner a 50 point "WWE Title Win" 50 point score.

But if someone is awarded the belt and has title matches, then it's business as usual.

Bischoff awarded HHH the belt in September 2002. I believe that was just before we started the RWF.

I'm inclined to agree with no points being given for the title being awarded but defending is business as usual.

Here's hoping Vickie makes Edge earn it... with a title match against Nunzio for the vacant belt.

Smackdown spoiler included based on what info trickled out.

It appears as though Edge may be wrestling the Undertaker for the "vacated" world title at Judgement Day. What's the ruling on this? Is Taker eligible for another 50 points for winning the belt we already know is his?

Agree with Tree and Mike D. It might be cheesy, but it's legitimately (for our scoring purposes at least) vacated and the title is up to be won.

Batista won. Then Vickie came out and said Edge is medically cleared to wrestle so the match will continue. Edge eliminated Batista and was considered the winner.

It really stinks that wiggs is likely to get a free 50 points for winning a belt he already has but such is life. To keep my spirits up I predict Edge wins the belt when Taker is disqualified for the chokehold.

Speaking of Joey Matthews he is one of the only good things on OVW now that WWE has pulled all their contracted talent from it. The show has basically become bad Memphis (the recent stuff) wrestling, but Joey Matthews has been awesome as a brutal heel, Rob Conway looks good as always and Nick Dinsmore is the champ going back to his Mr Wrestling background.

As Zyre brought up... Smackdown is taping the next two weeks this weekend. So this leaves the deadline for the next two weeks Saturday night - say 7 PM I guess?

The SmackDown/ECW crews have back-to-back television tapings this weekend as they will tape the next two weeks of television before their upcoming tour of New Zealand and Australia. Next week's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi (airing on 6/10) and next week's edition of SmackDown (airing on 6/13) will be taped Saturday night in Fresno, California.

- The follow week's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi (airing on 6/17) and the following week's edition of SmackDown (airing on 6/20) will be taped on Sunday in San Jose, California. The crews will then make the long flight over to Auckland, New Zealand where they will begin their overseas tour with a show on Wednesday night.

would it be alright to post a week 11 lineup so long as it is in before 7pm on Sunday as that taping doesn't begin until 7pm PT on Sunday?

I'd be willing to trade a high #1 pick in the upcoming draft if anyone is interested... this would be worded as my "2nd lowest pick" which is guaranteed at WORST the 7th pick (not Farn or Species pick and Wiggs has my "worst" pick so he's absolute worst going to be #8).

So if you've got a stud you are losing anyway... I'd trade this pick packaged with a young guy who might be worth keeping (i.e. DH Smith, Yang, Elijah Burke or if its really a top level guy Evan Bourne) for that talent.

And I will be keeping this guy the next two seasons, so please offer someone worth having for the long haul -- don't hit me with Khali or Fat Daddy V (wait, he's on my team! :)

Sorry Cliff, that sucks. Everything goes according to plan for once, you invest in a guy, he debuts with some wins etc. and then this mess.

Harris/Walker used to be so good in TNA, not sure what happened. They stripped him of his name, any decent gimmick, his finishing move etc. That coupled with looking slow and overweight was a bad combo. At least Monte Brown they let do what he did best... being The Alpha Male and using "The Pounce" etc.

America's Most Wanted is one of the best tag teams of the last decade, not sure how somebody so good at one point, could be a complete disaster a year later. As James Storm would say... "Sorry - about your damn luck"

AMW was an exciting team, because they were home grown. two singles guys - relative unknowns - put together into a duo that eventually grew into one of the best tag teams in the first half of this decade.

i always thought TNA screwed up by breaking them up, because they could have been THE face team for a long time.

I want to jump the gun here because its been speculated a lot...

If Phoenix/Santino win tomorrow and Beth claims the IC belt she'd obviously get IC points. But since it hasn't been defined would she be eligible for IC title points if they lost? Technically no mention has been made about who's going after what belt and the rumors and joking make it seem like she could take it and let Santino take the women's belt.

Would we ignore that possibility if they lose and score it normally?

I think Species is sleeping with angels...

Umaga suffered a knee injury at a Smackdown live event in Johnson City, Tenn. He was diagnosed with a torn posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). Surgery will not be required and he will be out 4-6 weeks. Umaga will be revaluated by doctors to see if he has made improvements.

#139 - I think you have to assume it's man-vs-man and woman-vs-woman in terms of title shots. But yes, if Beth gets the IC title (which would be hilarious - well, more hilarious that Santino is the women's champ!) she gets those points.

#140 - I don't think it's been a secret that something was wrong with Umaga. I don't think GO is concerned.

If by some chance one of the announcers mentions something like "If Santino and Beth win Santino could actually claim the Women's Title" would that be enough to give Beth the IC points if they lost?

All this said, I fully expect them to win tomorrow. I'm really curious to see if Vince goes for it and gives Santino the women's belt. That would be comedy gold. Only issue would be the devaluing of the IC belt by putting it on Beth.

Tonight's ECW was taped last night.

Tonight they will tape this Friday's Smackdown and next Tuesday's ECW. Therefore...

Week 22 Rosters will lock when the show begins taping this evening (my guess would be 7:30pm est)

Want to get some value for your leftovers?
I'm gonna be looking to trade Rude's "lowest 2nd round pick in Season 12" for a keeper of some sort.
I'd even package that 2nd rounder with say a young guy who just debuted like Gavin Spears (or the soon to return DH Smith).

raw spoiler
Shawn Michaels was injured at last night's Raw taping from St. Louis. I was told that it appeared Michaels injured his shoulder in the closing segment on Raw while in an altercation with Chris Jericho. Mike Johnson of the PWInsider website is reporting that it is believed to be a torn triceps muscle. The only word that I got was that the injury was believed to be significant.

I'm looking to trade my "GO owns Rude's lowest 2nd Round Season 12 pick" for a guy worth keeping. So if you got some leftovers, send me a list to choose from.

I had no idea but...

Smackdown and ECW taped tonight for this coming week so all lineup changes are frozen already

Spoilers follow so don't click if you don't want to know

Carlito has risen from the brink of a pink slip to a tag champ. Woot. Just in time to give me a tough decision for next season. And had I kept JBL... who knows. UGH.

Do you need to post this in the Roster thread for week 25? And are the two rosters there good or not?
