Let's get a fresh thread going with all kinds of chatter.

I have received a few offers for Edge. I'm still considering them. I may wait a couple of weeks and see if someone else emerges as a contender who needs a #1.

Reading JR's comments, sounds like Cade's release had something to do with his behavior and what he may have been involved in. One incident mentioned was that he had a seizure on a plane and it was determined it was not medically related.

Shockmaster, Ding Dongs, and David Arquette in the top 10?

those are the things that MAKE wrestling.

anyone who has heard about how Arquette carried himself as champ has to have utmost respect for the guy. never mind the fact he didn't even want to win the title because he felt it was disrespectful to all the "real" wrestlers, he did the right thing and paid for the bar tab the night he won the title, as per tradition.

other annoying things of note on that list:
Loch Ness Monster - 8) THE LOCH NESS MONSTER
Wrestling legend Haystacks
Callhoun..as ...well...the evil sea
monster
...pretty sure Calhoun was long dead by then. i can't remember the name of the guy who had this gimmick, but he was legit irish or scottish.

THE DESPERADOS
Black Bart, Deadeye Dick, and
Dutch Mantel as a gang of cowboys
in search of Stan Hansen.

why was this bad? with the exception of the West Texas Rednecks (Rap is crap!) cowboy gimmicks rock!

ok. i lost patience with the rest of the list. lol

I opened a fake Matt Hardy Myspace account, hopefully it results in a few more votes. Thats devotion to the RWF!
from Rajah
- ECW Champion Matt Hardy sent out a bulletin on his MySpace account talking about who he'd like to wrestle at Cyber Sunday. Hardy wrote: "I have never wrestled Evan Bourne, but I would love to, no doubt! He is one of the challengers that you can vote in to face me at Cyber Sunday for the ECW Title.. I can definitely see this match being a non-stop adrenaline rush-a true show stealer. If you guys and gals want to see this match as bad as I wanna have it, make it happen with your text votes! The other option are Finlay or Mark Henry. It is truly up to the WWE fans what goes down that night-make your vote count!"

-- SmackDown wrestler MVP is on a huge losing streak. He hasn't won a match on television in nearly two months -- the SmackDown after SummerSlam in a win via count out over Festus. He's lost nine consecutive matches, including nine clean pinfall losses. He's also lost on eight consecutive editions of Friday Night SmackDown. Here is his loss report:

I'm gonna have some extra depth here shortly with returning or debuting Helms, Umaga and Kizarny.
Want to look to package 2-3 of these guys for one big scorer. Perhaps packaged with a pick as well.

Bit of a longshot but does anyone have connections that could get me a pair of tickets to the PPV here in Phx tomorrow? Its not really worth the cost of a WWE PPV ticket but if someone has an in that could set me up I'd go.

No in, but in comparing ticketmaster to some of the private sellers, there's a pretty good deal at coasttocoasttickets----

2 tickets each in section 101, either in row 17 or 19, at $51 apiece.

Good compared to what ticketmaster has left etc.. There are cheaper ones, and more expensive ones (including floor---$200 a pop, 35th row)----but for overall value this looked the best to me.

Ouch.

EVAN BOURNE OUT FOR FOUR MONTHS
- Although on the losing side of both matches, ECW's Evan Bourne had two
very good outings this past weekend with a match for the ECW title against
Matt Hardy on Cyber Sunday and one against Rey Mysterio on RAW the following
night. However all the momentum he has built over the past weeks has come to
a stop as Bourne torn his ligaments in his ankle during the six man tag team
match on ECW television on Tuesday and is scheduled to be out of action for
around four months. The 25 year old made his WWE debut in June of this year.

I would love for wiggs to be right. I have always been a huge Christian mark. How sweet would it be to have his return coincide with Edge's return "from hell". It would reek of total awesomeness!!

I've also always had a huge thing for Gail. I dig asians.

This is great. Weeks keep going by with no sign of Edge. I'm not even going to have to trade him. He'll end up not being my high scorer as Show ends up in this program with Taker and racks up lots of points before Edge ever appears. My team is looking solid long term.

Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to trade Show down the line and still have a scorer higher than Edge.

If it wasn't on WWE.com I wouldn't believe it. I mean my god....

"Jeff Hardy was found unconscious in a stairwell at his hotel in Boston today, and was rushed to the nearest emergency room."

I'll assume its not a storyline because that would be a bit sad.

FYI for Week 8 lineups:

TWO SMACKDOWN! TAPINGS THIS WEEK
- There are some changes to television tapings this week as ECW TV will be
taped prior to Monday Night RAW in Providence, RI., while Smackdown!
tomorrow tapes two weeks worth of shows in Albany, NY. There will be more of
these type of tapings in the future which is a way to cut costs by taping
two shows in one night. The major reason for this week's double taping is
that a select few of the WWE crew will be traveling to Iraq after next
Monday's RAW to tape the Tribute to the Troops Christmas show.

oh oh, trouble in paradise:

World Wrestling Entertainment's plans for Wrestlemania were thrown out the window with word that Dave Batista, who was in the running for the Raw side of the Mania main event, has gone down to a torn hamstring.

Batista is expected to miss several months and will be undergoing surgery shortly, according to several sources within the company. The Randy Orton punt kick to the head last week was the storyline reason for Batista's disappearance from the company.

Looks like no Dibiase, Jr til February which does me absolutely no good. So a package of Ted w/ Kizarny and/or Zeke is on the block.

He's gonna be a big time keeper, cause he's coming back right into a main event level fued with Orton and he'll have scored very little this season. Plus the push from The Marine 2. Glad I traded for him right before they decided he should go film the stupid movie!

Great stuff with Necro Butcher. Marisa can dance for me anytime....woo baby. Interesting camerawork with so much of the "walking behind the character" stuff.......the best of which was when The Ram was walking to the deli counter. Very surreal.

What do you guys think about taking a look at when a promo is the last thing on the show... this seems to happen all the freaking time lately and a usually non-main event worthy match is picking up those bonus points.

Do we like that? should we consider those main event points going to that promo instead? do we consider giving an extra 5 points to those involved in that "main event promo" i.e. contract signing, staredown whatever? or do we just like it the way it is?

To me it just seems like sometimes crap matches get the main event points through this loophole and I wanted to look at it for next season.

There will be a final - leaguewide - waiver claim processing at 4 PM on the day of the final PPV. All claims submitted prior to 4 PM Saturday will still follow the traditional 24 hour period. All claims during this 24 hour window will be processed at the same time - 4 PM on Sunday - and if you would like that claim to be in your starting lineup, that offers a few hours before the PPV starts, to get it finalized, otherwise they will be on your bench. Congrats to Rude - his squad really poured it on down the stretch, it was impossible to keep up and he dominated at WM25.

My season came down to the Ted Jr. debacle, that cost me several hundred points trading for him right before he disappears for his honeymoon and to film a movie. That bad timing doesn't happen then I'm right there with Rude last night -- and while I still probably would have lost, it would have made the matches last night account for the championship.

Thanks Great One ... I really didn't think it would be that close until you pulled off some nice trades. I was getting worried ... the title feels good!!

I think it will be kinda nice to go back to getting excited about points for people like Vickie and Chavo ahaha

Well I think the Wrestlemania Super Bowl did as advertised again, cause you used it to put the nail in the coffin and thats the way it should be. Its the grand finale.

I've already seen talk of Orton getting a rematch tonight, and that would just be dumb if it were still close and he wins there and I stole it because of the stupid rematch. Anti-climatic.

HHH standing in the ring to close the show is exactly how we should close the season. It was perfect. Except for the me not winning part of it! :)

Are we sending keepers to Rude? When does he need them by?

We usually do keepers by Wednesday at noon so people can read spoilers... and then do the draft Thursday/Friday.

Rude, people will send you their 4 keepers. Either you need to total them all up and make a ranking based on the total number of points scored by those keepers... or perhaps once you have everyones 4 keepers, put them all in one email and send to Farn/Mike cause they could probably total them up pretty quick in a spreadsheet.

okie doke ... my email is linked here. I will gather them, rank them and then send to Farn & Mike D for back up to make sure I did it right.

Quick summary -- take each set of 4 keepers and add up what those 4 guys have scored for the season. After you get that done for the 10 teams everyone gets a rank 1-10 with a #1 carrying over the highest scoring keepers.

Then that number gets added to where you finished the season also 1-10 -- so you'll have a 1 in that category, I'll have a 2 etc. Add those two together, and then that'll be the draft order highest to lowest.

example -- Sample of draft order determination

People can start sending you keepers now to give a headstart, and we'll say have til NOON ON WEDNESDAY to make any changes or last minute adjustments.

Well I need some help. I have the video of WM but there is no way in heck I can score the battle royal. Divas getting booted like crazy with no one even telling us who they were.

Unless someone has a recap site that has them in order we need to figure out how we want to score it.

I have the rest of the show scored.

Oh, and if you haven't seen the HBK/Taker match, see it. It was a beauty.

just wanted to say how great 'Mania was live.

while the main event stunk up the joint, HBK vs. Taker was one of the greatest matches i have ever seen live. probably top 5, and considering i've seen probably 1,500 matches live in the last 5 years alone, i think that's saying something.

Yeah HBK/Taker was incredible ... people forgot they were in hooters and were jumping all over the place. Why does Vince keep putting these amazing matches right in front of the main event ... No one even cared about HHH/Orton

In regards to these keepers, and I have already gotten a few ... do we know of any changes with the scoring from Week 23 (individual wrestlers) ? I mean I had to stop and think ... did Cena pass Triple H? I would assume not but there might be other instances of that. I know Mike D is doing his thing but I've already received 4 sets of keepers.
