I guess it probably won't get much mention from WWE, and I never knew the Moondogs as anything but jobbers, but they apparently held the tag belts for a time. Third item in the column:

Wow----he died during a wrestling match in Memphis. Sad.
I remember seeing Spot in person many times. Keller (who I'm not a big fan of) describes him well.

just an interesting aside, Spot was also known as Larry Latham, 1/2 of the Blonde Bombers tag team with Wayne Farris, who is not only Jerry "The King" Lawler's cousin, but also became the Honkytonk Man.
