Not only are the top guys each 100 to 200 points off of those other seasons, but there is a significant drop off all the way down the top 40. #35 in Season III (Michaels) had 249, while Season I Storm had 385 and Noble (Season II) had 362.

Is the likely conclusion that the WWE has had much less action than previous years? And instead have more bull$hit Diva/bikini contests? Too much backstage yakking and not enough rasslin'? (to quote MITH's ho) So it is just me or do these numbers, as twisted as they are, represent a bit of a reason why the WWE has gone into the damn tank?

I'm curious as to the rest of your thoughts on that.

      Tue, Aug 24, 2004, 18:32 		Season 1 started on 1/13/03. Wrestlemania XIX was March 30th, which was Week 12 of Season 1. Season 1 ended with the SD after SS '03 on 8/28/03. It was a 33 week season.

Season 2 was when we started to go with the WM -> SS -> WM format. It started 9/8/03, went 28 weeks and ended on the SD after WMXX on 3/18/04.

Season 3 started 3/29/04, went 21 weeks and ended after Summerslam, last Thursday, 8/19/04.

Season 4 will (should) start next Monday, 8/30/04. Assuming the PPV calendar at WWE.com stays accurate, WMXXI will be 4/3/05, which is something like 31 weeks by my quick count.

As long as we keep this format and WWE keeps close to the same PPV schedule they have been using, our even-numbered seasons will always be longer. I don't think this an issue we should be concerned about.

If he is out for the season. I would offer something along the lines of Edge/? 4 Christian/Hardy.

Obviously if he is gonna be back in a few weeks - then his value is much greater and that offer isn't really balanced.
He has always been one of my favorites and I would be willing to sit on him for a season and wait it out personally...

Each week you set your roster in the apropriate thread (you will see them here in the General Fantasy Sports forum when they are created) by posting which 6 of your 8 wrestlers you would like to start. The deadline for posting your roster is Mondays at 9:00PM est during weeks when there is no Sunday PPV and Sundays at 7:00PM est during weeks with a Sunday PPV.

In the topic field of this thread is the complete scoring history of everyone who has earned points in our league.

The format we have settled into calls for this season to begin with Raw this coming Monday, August 30th and end with the week that starts with Wrestlemania XXI, which will be something lke 31 weeks, I think. So the last opportunity to earn points will be the Smackdown after WMXXI. We will then take off a week after the Wrestlemania week in which everyone will declare their 4 keepers and we will have our draft for Season 5. Each year, we must drop the highest scorer on each of our teams and then choose which 4 of the remaining 7 wrestlers to keep.

By design, we have no league commish or 'head honcho'. Some of us have taken on various responsibilities with regard to keeping the league going, and some of us are more active than others, but as far as league decisions and disagreements are concerned, we are a pure democracy and thus put pretty much every issue that is raised to a vote.

To my knowledge we haven't formally exchanged email addys, but if you want to discuss something in private with another league member like trade negotiations, everyone has been willing to post thheir addys. I haven't seen anything since, but did read yesterday or today that we might be seeing an HBK-led stable, so maybe the Cade rumors are coming back. I think what I origainally saw was that he was going to play an HBK wannabe who would ultimately feud with HBK, but I could be remembering it wrong.
