YES!!!!

(I move that we add this to regular scoring when it starts.)

-------------------------------------------------
from WWE.com

Saturday Night’s Main Event is returning to NBC this March after a 13-year hiatus. In the mid-1980s through early 1990s, WWE fans would scour the television listings each month — making sure they didn’t miss the highly anticipated special that replaced network staple Saturday Night Live on occasion. When Jon Lovitz, Dennis Miller and Dana Carvey weren’t performing comedy sketches, WWE Superstars were squaring off in matches that often took on a pay-per-view feel.

Here are some of the most memorable moments from the original run of Saturday Night’s Main Event:

On Nov. 2, 1985, Hulk Hogan & Andre the Giant defeated King Kong Bundy & Big John Studd by disqualification in a match remembered for the size and stature of its participants.

On March 1, 1986, Hulk Hogan retained the WWE Championship against "Magnificent" Don Muraco via disqualification. But this match was infamous for King Kong Bundy’s interference and assault. In the end, Muraco and Bundy broke Hogan’s ribs.

On May 3, 1986, the British Bulldogs beat Iron Shiek & Nikolai Volkoff in a best two-of-three falls match for the World Tag Team Championship. This was indicative of the strength of the tag team division, which was often spotlighted on Saturday Night’s Main Event in multiple-fall battles.

On Jan. 3, 1987, Hulk Hogan battled “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff in a truly memorable Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship. Both men scaled the cage and hit the floor simultaneously, causing immense controversy and the restart of the match.

On Oct. 3, 1987, Honky Tonk Man nearly did the unthinkable: strike Elizabeth with his signature guitar during a match against Randy “Macho Man” Savage. Honky was aiming for the head of Savage, but a loving Elizabeth jumped in the way. Ultimately, Honky shoved Elizabeth to the floor and proceeded to smash Savage. Elizabeth rushed to the back and emerged with none other than Hulk Hogan. It was the beginning of the force known as the MegaPowers

Punk is in OVW, which is one of the WWE's "training grounds," and Ken Doane is part of the Spirit Squad on WWE TV.

Boogeyman - if you live in california, i suggest you check out Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. they usually have a couple of shows a month in the Los Angeles area, and have some amazing wrestlers.

my favorites who wrestle there are Joey Ryan, Davey Richards, American Dragon, El Generico, The Human Tornado, Samoa Joe, and Jack Evans. a lot of people LOVE Super Dragon, but i think he's a butthead.

I am having a very hard time watching WWE right now. The story lines are getting old to me. I dont actually think I have sat down and watch a show in about a month. I do however check the websites to get the results. Is anyone else having a hard time staying interested, or is it just me. I usually think this is the best time of year the weeks before Mania.

wwe is the new wwf because when wwf was around rthere a gruop also called wwf(World Wildlife Foundation). so they went to court and wildlife foundation won so they to change there name to wcw the when monday night nitro came along shane machmon owned wcw so vince made anther wrestling show call wwe. then moday nigh nitro was over and wcw was finished.

i knoe that the wildlife stuff is true but i think the rest is true also.

I forgot too - if you are going to watch Saturday Nights Main Event anyway, you should also watch TNA wrestling at 11 PM on Spike TV. We all think thats pretty cool too. Check it out. They have lots of awesome wrestlers too and its less of a soap opera like you were talking about before. They do lots of cool and high flying moves.

Welcome to the forum, Boogeyman. Glad to have you around and thanks for all the updates.

My opinion shouldn't be worth much since I'm no longer involved but I urge you guys to consider this young lad if you wind up with another league vacancy in the near future. His enthusiasm is terrific.

Its a fantasy wwe league. I used to be a member. They're currently in season now. The only way that new members can join is if someone drops out, leaving a vacancy.
