Thats who I was looking at too (again! lol..) but just like Smith I really needed to get someone immediately on TV to fill out a starting lineup.

i'm thinking that ultimately, that one month, won't make a difference. i think he'll be a top 10 scorer in this league during even this partial season, and i may not get to keep him more than just this partial...

Off to work right now. When Tree picks, someone can email me there...

Next question- can I take God and get tag team points at Backlash?

I was wondering if I could pick God myself :)

I also think in the interest of fairness this draft needs to be done before RAW starts (otherwise I would have just sat on that pick til Wednesday morning hoping someone would debut).

this has been the most fun draft we've had in awhile. i think the lack of big stars has meant we've had to dig deeper, be more creative, and take some risks.

i'm actually surprised at some of the guys out still out there.

as for Shortstack, i'm keeping my fingers crossed he makes his debut tonight...

lol. well, Shortstack may make his WWE debut tonight. but, they're also looking at signing him to a contract, and if they do, they might not run tonight's vignette, since it's not quite "in character"...

but we'll see....

that's the one and only GO. he was in a vignette taped last week, that ended up being bumped to this week. i know that both Triple H and Ricky Steamboat are high on him, so he may actually get a deal...

Yeah, I guess if those picking before me went before the Smackdown tapings started (and I left for softball) I wouldn't have had the option. Unfortunately, nobody debuted and I still picked who was on my normal que anyway. I was tempted to go with Goldust instead though, as he and Snitsky are supposedly on the PPV vs. Spirit Squad which is why I picked Mean Gene. That should mean that they will win a match on Monday to earn that shot, so thats a good start. Mike and I are a team now!

Striker did a WWE Unlimited promo last week as well, so I figured I'd mix it up as he seems to be getting a mini-push. Little surprised nobody chose him (or a few others guys for that matter).

Big Show is available for Smackdown talent as I need to balance out my roster between the shows.

Striker's promo actually got cancelled last week so no, he didn't do one I don't believe.

Had I had the luxury of seeing Raw before my pick last night, well, I would have taken him too.

Like I said, ironic. :)

And I guess the fact that he was supposed to be having a promo on RAW last week was enough to get him on that list i sent to Mike D yesterday wondering why the hell nobody chose him...

from post 27

my Season VII proposal on ECW has me chuckling to myself. I'll tell you why when the vote is final.

I was chuckling because almost to a tee anyone who stood to gain points from an ECW PPV was voting yes, while those who had almost no chance to have someone appear on the PPV were voting no. Coincidence? You can say not but I'm not sold.

Anyway, I voted no because thats the way it appeared to me and I'd rather keep everyone happy and stay status quo unless a large majority had wanted to include it.

Well I don't have any ECW, I just thought it would be kind of fun. Then I was gonna propose and ECW spot where we could all pick one (non WWE contracted) ECW guy for the PPV - exempt from waiver priority, in reverse of current standings - so we all had a rooting interest for that one show. Of course that would never happen, but it sounded fun.

I am a little surprised that the dotcom game isn't scoring SNME. That show is bigger than any normal weekly RAW or SD and you'd think they'd be trying to keep pushing it like that.

Of course I voted yes because I could get points for it, but so could anyone else who picked someone who would wrestle there. I dont see why we wouldnt count it, it is a WWE ppv.

As for the draft picks after the show started. I totally agree. It bothers me that because I picked quickly I wasnt able to get a guy like striker who seems to now be getting a bit of a push and I wasted my pick on a guy not even in the federation. I think next season we need to say the draft needs to be over by sunday night, and if it isnt there needs to be some type of penalty.

Subject: Heel/Face turns

Perhaps we ought to clarify what characters should have already been awarded turn points and what characters could be up for consideration, and the timing thereof.

Shelton Benjamin has certainly turned and I would land on the side that says he should have already been awarded points last season.

Mickie James - see Benjamin

Animal/Road Warrior - see Benjamin

Paul Birchill - assuming he was 'heel' to begin with, see Benjamin

Torrie Wilson - see Benjamin

Guys that could be up for debate for Season VII:

Carlito - we could see this coming, and the turn is certainly at least in motion right now during the "off season". If the turn sticks I'd probably lean towards no point award as it started before our current season started - but that's just my opinion.

John Cena - if a heel turn comes, I'd have to say it's legit for Season VII. Speculation online is immaterial compared to on-screen actions. I'd say he's eligible this year.

Kane - might not be a full turn, but more a swerve to promote the movie. But the timing of it makes it a bit of a tough call. In the end, after the movie he might "snap out of it" so to speak and go back to playing face.

Anyone else I'm missing who has already turned and who could be in the midst of a turn?

It's an ECW PPV, not WWE. True some of the former ECW guys are now in WWE. Also, true they had some WWE guys crash the show last year to curse them out and get into a brawl, but that was just so they could advertise people like Kurt Angle as being on the show and draw viewers. Last year was a special "one time only" show for ECW. It was not a WWE PPV in those senses at all.

Now, because the fans loved it and it made $, it's back again. Fine by me, especially given my "This Is Extreme" team name.

can some one tell me who is wrestling in ECW now? I dont believe the federation even exists. ECW was bought out by WWE and then contracted. When the ECW DVD comes out it has the WWE logo on it. I believe the PPV is WWE.

when a bunch of guys who don't normally wrestle for the WWE wrestle on a PPV, it's hard to call it a regular WWE PPV.

you know what i was just thinking? I think Mike D should provide stat tracker for this league, similar to what Yahoo has. Charge $10 a man and give live scoring.

Come on Mike D, that's your goal for this season.

Great line from the movie The Benchwarmers that's out right now. Definitely a guy movie, and my son and I loved it.

I don't know why I just thought of that.
