he is definitely an Angle fan. It has also turned me into an angle fan. I always thought we was a good wrestler but i never like his role on any of the programs.

Others that did autographs and picture sessions

Consequences Creed
ODB
Tracy Brooks
LAX

yea, when i went to my first (and only) TNA show a couple months back, they did the same thing. it was pretty cool. for me, it was for different reasons, as i got a chance to catch up with friends who i hadn't talked to in months.

i did get a kick out of talking to some of the guys, and then having some stranger walk up to me and say "you KNOW Jimmy Rave?!!?!?"

very cool your kid had a good time Wiggs. between that, and hearing Tom talk about taking his daughter to a WWE show recently, it's nice to know we're seeing the next generation of RWF nerds come up through the ranks.

Wiggs, your boy is what, 8? How many more years until we can have an expansion draft for him? Or will he serve as your apprentice first?

Its never too late to start an apprentice program wiggs.

Give him full access to your team and let him know I'll trade him Angle for Cena. :)

Motor City Machineguns vs. the Dragon Gate team was a lot of fun and non-stop action with tons of innovative moves... hopefully a few of you caught it.

They also replay TNA at 11 PM on Saturday night... and its in the first half hour so you should be able to catch it pretty easily if you missed.

Yeah I enjoyed that tag match a lot but Alex Kozlov was fairly uninspiring. AJ was awesome as usual and I also liked the LAX v Storm & Roode match too.

Yeah, I taped those, but won't get to watch til later. Just watched that one while I was eating some dinner.
I'm not familiar with Kovlov, were we expecting much? does he have a good reputation? I have heard of Tyson Dux, so looking forward to seeing him. Davari is a addition to bring Team International some cheap heat.

World X Cup is just good fun. No stupid storylines, no run-ins, clean finishes. Good stuff.

And to see such great tag team action was a treat. Motor City and the Dragon Gate duo did some really creative double teams etc that were brilliant. I think this makes us all sad in a way and to long for the days when tag team wrestling mattered and it was just two guys put together with nothing else to do that were champs (Holly/Rhodes, Miz/Morrison). At least LAX are a real good team and champs of TNA right now. Homicide rules and I've never seen a BIG man fly quite like Hernandez can.

Rey Bucanero & Ultimo Guerrero are set to work TNA's Impact tapings on Monday and Tuesday of next week. They will be part of the World X Cup. The finals of the World X Cup will be at TNA's July 13th PPV in Houston, TX.

This should be fun... hopefully they have some good opponents. And if these guys reach the finals vs. that team from Dragon Gate, that might just be ridiculous.
I hear Milano Collection AT is on one of the other teams too... loved him in ROH.

Just 2 weeks after ROH draws 2500 fans at the Hammerstein Ballroom... poor TNA. Maybe one day they'll get a good crowd like an ROH show lol...

-- There were a ton of empty seats at last Saturday's TNA event in Topeka, Kansas as the house show only drew 500 fans to the Kansas Expocentre, which can hold 8,000 seats. Additionally, house shows the week before in Dallas, Texas (8/15) and Muskogee, Oklahoma (8/17) drew poorly as well. However, the 8/16 house show in Lawton, Oklahoma reportedly drew okay.

Nigel was great tonight, can't believe they put him right into something with Angle. WWE would never have had the balls to have an outsider jump right into a main event fued.

Danielson will surely debut vs. Funaki on Superstars and have a gimmick where he's a mute with a mohawk or something.

Well as we all know 8 PM tonight with Hogan's debut. Should be interesting. I'm surprised WWE didn't counter with a 3 hour RAW to try and blow up their big move. Bret Hart is big, but Hogan's still... Hogan.

On a pure awesomeness level, if this match happens on my TV tonight it will be the best match on either show. - The Young Bucks are booked for the Impact shows this week. There is talk that they will face The Motor City Machineguns this week on TV.

I have to admit I've never watched more than 3 seconds (literally) of TNA. And tonight will be no different. I can't even pretend to care about 84 yr old Hulk Hogan, his fellow egomaniac Eric Bischoff, or any other NWO castoff they are bringing in for tonight. I'm all for competition but a bunch of geriatrics isn't competition.

Its hard to think Hogan/Bischoff will work but its worth a look. But its not like WWE is very young either, we just tend to ignore the fact that their main guys are all in the 40's -- HHH, HBK and Undertaker all are. And 60 year old Ric Flair was a prime time player last year for WWE. That HBK vs. Flair match at WM25 was over 100 years old combined! lol...

TNA's last main event had AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels who are all pretty young. And AJ Styles is a young fresh champ. Now if Hogan brings in Brutus Beefcake and he beat Styles in 5 minutes. Well, then you've got a great point.

And Young Bucks vs. Motor City Machine Guns will make you wish WWE still gave a crap about tag wrestling.

Farn - turn it on. The Young Bucks vs. MCMG might very well change your mind.

and all four are very young guys - Chris Sabin is the oldest at the ripe old age of 27. But combined, they've been wrestling for almost 40 years.

Styles vs. Joe vs. Daniels was amazing. a match that shouldn't be missed.

Farn - give it a try.

Young Bucks were trained by Marty Jannetty too I learned when Rude and I were chatting about them. They basically look like The Rockers in their prime, but with even crazier, high flying moves. MCMG are the more proven commodity, but I think the Bucks can take them up a notch in their TV debut and really push them.

Wiggs will watch I bet. He likes to try different shows.

Angle vs. AJ was awesome, I second that. Thats the reason I watch this stuff, to enjoy matches like that.

It was definitely a little out of whack for parts of the rest of the show. I think they were trying to cram in all these debuts (Hogan, Flair) and returns (Hardy). I think they did do a good job of planting seeds. But some of it felt disjointed. And no Beer Money or British Invasion among others was disappointing. Especially with 3 hours to work with.

And coming off that great PPV, Impact blew RAW out of the water too.

Certainly the ratings won't reflect it yet because there are so many WWE sheep out there, but if they continue putting shows on like this the gap will start to close.

In defense of WWE, they were a bit off kilter last night thanks to the flight issues. I won't condemn that bad show last night.

That said, they really need to start upping the product a little. Outside of what I thought was a solid Swagger/Taker match there wasn't much. But like I said it was a tough night for them.

Absolutely that Swagger/Taker match was top notch. Main event was ok too. And they did just try and patch it together and did an alright job given the circumstances.

But agreed they need to step it up a bit. And these guest hosts are getting stupider and stupider. I wonder how HHH and co. really feel about having to work with these people each week. And frankly, the MacGruber stuff wasn't that bad. Although it would have been awesome if Santino was there lol...

Impact has just been no nonsense badass wrestling lately. RVD, AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Pope, Sting, Abyss, Beer Money, Machineguns etc are getting it done right now. Hogan and Flair are actually doing the right thing, being manager types, helping these other guys out. The womens division is light years better than WWE and they are doing with the X-Division what WCW used to do with the cruisers like Rey/Eddie/Malenko/Juvy and letting them put on great shows with tons of action on the undercard.

I should probably tune in and watch TNA. I'm just hesitant to add more programming to my week. I can barely keep up with what I already watch.

The WWE women's division is awful. Not only do they not give them TV time but they only give them time to be eye candy instead of to wrestle. Give them a chance to show what they've got.

Glad to hear Hogan and Flair aren't wrestling. I figured it might be like vintage WCW where Hogan hogged all the TV time.

He gets plenty of airtime, but in the authority figure or manager role. Flair is merely manager to AJ Styles. So I think those have gone pretty well.

Watch the replay this Thursday at 9-11. This episode was real good. Plus had the big title match.
